Planetary reducers are used for simple robots, and RV reducers are used for high-end articulated robots. More than 80% of the global market is monopolized by a few companies such as Teijin, Sumitomo, and South Korea.
According to reports, the gearbox and bearing are mainly in the reducer, but the design and processing are difficult to master. Some parts are rigid, some are flexible, the precision is high, and the operation error is even less than one hair. China lacks this core equipment and can only import it two or three times higher than Japan.
In recent years, the demand for robots in China has doubled. Nearly 100 companies in and outside the province, including Wuhan Fenjin Power and Hubei Planetary Company, have entered the precision reducer market. However, only Nantong Zhenkang Company has just announced the successful development of RV reducer.
Yu Yunqing said that the emergence of domestic brands will break the monopoly of foreign companies, and foreign products have begun to cut prices. The price of this product in Wuhan is 30% lower than that of Japanese companies, which has caused interest among many domestic robot giants such as Anhui Efte.
