Affected by cold air, yesterday, the temperature in most parts of central and eastern China has dropped by 5-7 °C, and the local temperature drop has reached 10-12 °C. It is expected that there will be small to moderate rains in the southeastern part of the northwestern region, the south-central part of the Huanghuai area and most of the south of the southwestern region, with heavy rains in parts of southeastern Chongqing and southern Jiangsu.
At present, the winter wheat in the south of the Huaihe River has entered the jointing stage. It is expected that the minimum temperature in the Jianghuai and Jianghan areas may fall below 3 °C during the cooling process. Frost may occur in some areas, and the young seedlings with weaker growth may be frozen. Winter wheat in the north of the Huaihe River is in the greening period. Although there is a cooling process in the next three days, the average daily temperature in most of the North China and Huanghuai wheat areas is around 5-10 °C. Moderate low temperature will prolong the differentiation time of winter wheat spikes and facilitate the formation of large ears.
In addition, the continuous low temperature and rainy weather is prone to cause premature senescence of rapeseed plants in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, reducing flowering, reducing seed setting rate, and unfavorable for yield formation; rainy water, high humidity, and easy disease. The average daily temperature in some parts of southern Jiangnan and northern China may be lower than 12 °C from 22 to 23, and the low temperature accompanied by rainy weather is unfavorable for local early rice planting and timely transplanting.
In addition, there is currently insufficient soil surface in the southeastern part of the northwestern region, southern Huanghuai and southern Sichuan, and the precipitation process is beneficial to soil conservation.
Agricultural production advice
First, all localities should actively take effective measures to resist the adverse effects of cooling weather on crops; areas that have not been spring-sown in the south should avoid low-temperature time, wait until the temperature is warmed up, sow seeds in time, and keep warm.
Second, the early rice paddy field that has been planted in the south of the Yangtze River and in the south of South China should be strengthened, and measures such as filming should be adopted to prevent the low temperature and rainy weather from causing rotten rotten species and strive to cultivate strong growth.
Third, the areas with excessive precipitation should clear the ditch in time, drain the shovel and reduce the waterlogging; at the same time, pay attention to strengthen the monitoring and prevention of pests and diseases.
