Pesticides that are susceptible to phytotoxicity to flowers

Dimethoate and Omethoate can cause obvious phytotoxicity to the ornamental plants such as plum blossom, cherry blossom, flower peach, eucalyptus, and stalked sea bream. Spraying from dimethoate from June to October often results in the curling of petals and the loss of leaves, inflorescences, and twigs.

Dichlorvos has obvious phytotoxicity to plum, eucalyptus, etc. Usually, other insecticides should be used instead. Dichlorvos also has different degrees of phytotoxicity to Du Fu and Guo Yu.

Trichlorfon has phytotoxicity to cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, etc.

It is used in the high temperature season to kill insects, which has serious phytotoxicity to pomegranates and also causes greater phytotoxicity to cruciferous flowers. When using insecticides, avoid using them on hibiscus and dahlia.

In order to prevent pesticides from causing phytotoxicity, first, use other highly effective and harmless pesticides; second, try to reduce the concentration; and third, do not spray under high temperature and high humidity conditions.
