Liu Shengzhong's team developed a method for the growth of large-size perovskite single crystals and succeeded in preparing ultra-large-size single-crystal perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 crystals with sizes exceeding 2 inches (71 mm). Through high resolution X-ray diffraction and optical tests at room temperature, it was found that the CH3NH3PbI3 (X=Cl, Br, I) perovskite crystal material has a high crystalline quality and a better light absorption range (compared with thin film samples). , and for the first time found its luminescence peak at 402 nm. In addition, it has higher thermal stability than thin film materials.
