Global rubber demand will increase by 4% next year

According to the International Rubber Research Organization, in 2013, the global demand for natural rubber and synthetic rubber may increase by 4% from the previous year to 27.7 million tons.

The International Rubber Research Organization predicts that in 2012, global rubber consumption will be 26.6 million tons, which is lower than the previous estimate of 26.8 million tons, but higher than last year's consumption of 25.9 million tons.

According to the International Rubber Research Organization, in 2012, global natural rubber production will rise to 11.3 million tons, slightly higher than the 11 million tons last year. The organization also predicts that next year, China's rubber demand will increase by 4.6%.

China is the world's largest rubber consumer. Its consumption accounts for about 30% of the global output of natural rubber and synthetic rubber. According to the prediction of the International Rubber Research Organization, China's rubber consumption in 2012 was 8.7 million tons, slightly higher than last year's 8.3 million tons.
