According to Huaqiao University, Wu Jihuai's research group of the Engineering Research Center for Environmentally Friendly Functional Materials of the Ministry of Education has developed a hybrid solar cell based on TiO2/P3HT heterojunction. The photoelectric conversion efficiency of the hybrid solar cell was 1.28% under ultraviolet irradiation (standard light intensity). The research results have recently been published in the 3rd issue of the 2013 issue of Nature's Scientific Reports magazine.
It is reported that the ultraviolet-responsive solar cells have certain significance for the theoretical research and practical application of photovoltaic cells and optoelectronic devices.
