Polyester paint
Polyester paint. It is a thick lacquer made of polyester resin as the main film former. The polyester paint has a full film and a thick layer. Polyester lacquer also has a varnish variety called polyester varnish.
Curing is required during the construction of the polyester lacquer, and the amount of these curing agents accounts for one-third of the total amount of the paint. These curing agents are also known as hardeners and their main component is TDI (toluene diisocyanate). These free TDI will turn yellow, which will not only make the furniture paint yellow, but also make the adjacent wall yellow, which is a major drawback of polyester paint. At present, yellowing-resistant polyester lacquer has appeared on the market, but it can only be used to resist yellowing, and it is impossible to completely prevent yellowing. In addition, free TDI beyond the standard can also cause harm to the human body. The harm of free TDI to the human body is mainly sensitization and stimulating effects, including pain, tearing, conjunctival congestion, cough and chest tightness, shortness of breath, red papules, maculopapular rash, and contact allergic dermatitis. Internationally, the limit for free TDI is controlled below 0.5%.
Polyurethane paint
