After more than 10 days of trial and error, the nano-polycrystalline diamond project of Gujia City Kehua Nano Polycrystalline Diamond Co., Ltd. completed the entire production process on May 14 and successfully extracted the first carat nanometer polycrystalline diamond.
Gujiao Kehua Nano Polycrystalline Diamond Co., Ltd. is a key project company in the transformation and development of Gujiao City. After it settled in Gujiao Science and Technology Park in 2009, the company and the old expert technology center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences use Shanxi's rich graphite resources to build nanometers. The polycrystalline diamond project invested 0.46 billion yuan to build a project with an annual output of 40 million carats of nanometer polycrystalline diamond and a production value of 560 million yuan. Nanocrystalline diamond is a kind of synthetic diamond with extraordinary hardness, high strength and high toughness. It is widely used in integrated circuit silicon wafers and solar photovoltaic cells. At present, the technology for producing nanometer polycrystalline diamond in the world is mainly based on the patent of DuPont Company of the United States. However, in the production process, the amount of explosives is large, the operation is cumbersome, and the investment in construction is large, the production cycle is long, and the yield is low, so the product cost is high and the price is high; only a few enterprises such as Sichuan Jiuyuan Nano Material Co., Ltd. are produced in China. The annual output is only about 10 million carats, and the domestic demand for nanocrystalline diamonds is heavily imported. Kehua Nano Polycrystalline Diamond Co., Ltd. has greatly improved the production efficiency of nano-polycrystalline diamond and reduced the production cost through the research and development work with the old experts of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has filled a gap in our province.
