Ores Detection Technology Creates Space Sentinel to Prevent Recurrence of Meteorite Falling Events

The Russian Ministry of the Interior News Center announced on the evening of the 15th that the fall of the meteorite in Chelyabinsk region on the morning of the 15th Moscow time had caused 1,200 injuries. In this regard, the small planet mining company Deep Space Industries (DSI) said it will set up a sentinel line in space so that it can be known in advance that the meteorite may pose a threat to the planet, and then can take protective measures. It is reported that the DSI's sentry line uses asteroid source and mineral detection technology. It will be able to detect near-Earth objects that may pose a threat to the Earth.

According to data provided by Roscosmos and NASA, the vermiculite that fell in Russia has a diameter of about 2 meters, a weight of 10 tons, and a minimum speed of 54,000 km/h. NASA pointed out in the conference call that the fall of the meteorite reached a range of 19-24 km, equivalent to the power of 300-kiloton bombs. As of today, 1200 people have been injured. There are still 46 injured people still being treated in hospitals. Among them, 13 children were hit by broken glass in the school. On the same day, scientists observed the 2012 DA14 asteroid passing the earth.

DSI said that there are more than 10,000 asteroids near the Earth that have the ability to destroy a city. Each year, they can find more than 900 such planets. According to DSI, the most urgent task now is to establish more space sentry lines to help people deploy preventive measures.

In the DSI plan, the FireFly satellite will be primarily responsible for detecting and tracking "rogue" asteroids. Earlier, FrieFly was primarily responsible for the survey of space ores.

DSI CEO David Gump said that they will deploy 10 FireFly spacecraft in space. The plan will run for 4 years and the cost will not exceed 100 million U.S. dollars. Gump stressed that setting up a space sentinel will help people better prevent the occurrence of catastrophic near-Earth fall events.

It is reported that DSI has made the development of FireFly a part of their development of asteroid ore and is expected to be officially deployed in 2015. The company believes that it can also serve as a sentinel without any modification. In addition, DSI also disclosed that they will develop low-cost commercial space sentry equipment.

Temperature Transmitter

Temperature transmitter is an instrument that converts a temperature variable into a transmittable standardized output signal. Temperature transmitters convert physical measurement signals or ordinary electrical signals into standard electrical signal output or devices that can output in the form of communication protocols. A temperature transmitter is an instrument that converts temperature variables into a transmittable standardized output signal, and is mainly used for the measurement and control of temperature parameters in industrial processes. The current transmitter is to convert the AC current of the main circuit under test into a constant current loop standard signal, which is continuously sent to the receiving device

Features of the temperature transmitter:

1. Two-wire output DC4-20mA current signal, strong anti-interference ability;

2. Save the cost of compensation wire and installation of temperature transmitter;

3. Large measurement range;

4. Automatic compensation of cold junction temperature, non-linear correction circuit.

Applications of temperature transmitters:

Usually used with display instruments, recording instruments, electronic computers, etc., widely used in petroleum, chemical, chemical fiber; textile, rubber, building materials; electric power, metallurgy, medicine; food and other industrial fields for on-site temperature measurement process control; especially suitable for computer measurement and control The system can also be used in conjunction with the instrument.

Temperature transmitters make it possible to send a scaleable (4 to 20) mA signal from a Temperature Sensor to a control device without investing in long, expensive runs of thermocouple or RTD wire.

Pyromation carries programmable RTD and thermocouple temperature transmitters that can be mounted in the temperature sensor assembly connection head, or surface mounted using a DIN rail mounting clip. Some units offer a visual digital display that shows the current measured value. All are PC programmable and convert various signals into a scaleable (4 to 20) mA analog output signal. We also carry transmitters programmable with Hart® protocol for various signal inputs. Depending on type, some of Pyromation`s thermocouple and RTD temperature transmitters are UL recognized components and/or FM and CSA approved, including styles that are intrinsically safe and approved for use in hazardous locations.
