China’s labor protection products take the first step of cooperation with the EU

Abstract: In late October, at the International Exhibition on Industrial Safety and Occupational Health (A+A) held in Düsseldorf, Germany, the China Labor Protection Equipment Federation and the European Union Standardization Committee PPE (Individual Labor Protection Equipment) Professional Committee, A consensus was reached on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership. This is the first time that the EU and China’s industry organizations have established comprehensive strategic cooperation, marking the first step in the cooperation between China and the EU in the field of labor protection products.

At the China-EU PPE Standards Cooperation Strategy Dialogue between the two parties, the head of the PPE Committee of the European Standardization Committee expressed great interest in the promotion of China's PPE industry standardization and product traceability system, and applied for EU standard processes. The whole process of formulating EU standards, etc. shall be explained in detail. Chinese personnel learned about the technical development, product demand, and market dynamics of individual personal protective equipment in Europe through forums and obtained more information. Due to the heated discussion, the seminar lasted 3 hours.

The two sides reached a consensus on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership. It was tentatively agreed to establish an annual exchange and dialogue mechanism. For example, during the A+A exhibition in Germany, exchanges will be held in Düsseldorf. In the twin year, during the China COSH exhibition, communication will be held in Beijing. In addition, under the Sino-European PPE standardization cooperation mechanism, we will jointly explore the EU-China PPE standardization and cooperation work and establish the China-EU PPE Standardization Research Center. At the same time, we will also invite EU experts to come to China for standardization training.

The International Exhibition on Industrial Safety and Occupational Health (A+A) is held once every two years in Germany. It is the world's most influential security and protection industry exhibition. The 1800 companies in 60 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. The China Labor Protective Equipment Alliance and the China Association of Professional Wear Industry have organized 16 companies to participate in the exhibition. The products include protective clothing, respirator, gloves, safety shoes and eyewash.

During the exhibition, China Labor Protection Supplies Union held a product launch conference, introduced the overall situation of China's individual protective equipment and 2016 international cooperation and exchange programs. Mr. Ma Jinfang, chairman of the Yitong Co., Ltd. exhibitors, introduced the current situation of China's protective clothing. Chen Simin, deputy general manager of Jingzhou Chuangchuang Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., introduced the current status and prospects of China's respiratory protection equipment.

In Germany, exhibitors also visited the German Evonik Group. The group is a multinational company that specializes in chemicals and energy. In accordance with EU standards, the company has provided employees with an overall idea of ​​labor protection supplies from head to toe and employees' awareness of their own safety and health, which has left a deep impression on visitors.
